Why Grace Notes is So Good

Sound and durability.  For purity of tone and resonance the physics of sound have been applied.  For a durable chime to last for many years, special components are utilized.

SOUND

To produce the purest tone, these chimes are designed so the 'striker' (piece in middle of chimes that strikes the tubes) hits the center of each tube.

So chimes will resonate longer, they are suspended with interior pins placed at the resonate node of each tube.

Thicker tubing creates richer sound.  These tubes are custom made for extra thickness so they will produce the purest tone.

Because of the length of the center string, less wind is required to ring Grace Notes chimes.

The 'striker' is recycled composite lumber, softwood that eliminates harsh overtones.

For a melodic sound, these chimes are designed with a greater space between tube and 'striker' so notes can be heard individually.

DURABILITY

The top aluminum ring is completely weatherproof, unlike wood tops that are subject to drying and cracking..

The composite 'striker' wood is highly resistant to rot.

Custom made dacron is used to string - very strong and long lasting material.  Good quality stringing material is crucial to producing a long-lasting chime.
